Qualifications, Work Experience and Skills

 

Minimum Education and Training:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness Management / Agriculture Economics / Crop Science / Agronomy/ Horticulture or related (NQF Level 7)
  • A drivers license is an essential requirement.

 

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience within the crop science/ agronomy and horticulture industry.

 

KNOWLEDGE

  • The Namibian Agronomic Industry Act. 20 of 1992.
  • The Namibian Horticulture Market Share Promotion Scheme.
  • The National Agriculture Marketing Policy.
  • The Green Scheme Policy.
  • The Namibian Growth at Home Strategy/ Policy.
  • Knowledge of Import/Export/In transit.
  • Knowledge of international trade and trade analysis.

 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and planning skills.
  • Works well under pressure.
  • Strong team player and well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
